Confession

The Sacrament of Confession, more properly called the Sacrament of Reconciliation and sometimes also called Penance, is the means by which any mortal sins we have committed since baptism are forgiven and we may return to receiving Holy Communion.

It is also a salutary practice for us to go to confession regularly to confess our venial sins and receive the grace of the sacrament.

Confessions are heard by arrangement with Father Neil.

Children are prepared for their First Reconciliation (Confession) when they are in Year 3 or above.

There is more detailed information in these leaflets from ‘Notes for Catholics’.
